Terry Lantz

  Electrical Systems Engineer

Terry Lantz served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Integrated Instrument and Flight Control Systems Specialist on C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster III aircraft before retiring from service in 2022. In 2019, he graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He first began working as a contractor for NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) in 2020, as a Systems Engineer in the Aeronautics and Ground-Based Systems Branch. In 2022, he became a full-time NASA Civil Servant in GRC’s Power Division as an Electrical Systems Engineer and now serves as a lead of technology development and SME for the Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) project. He also currently leads a research and development effort for advanced power distribution technologies that will enable future electrified aircraft propulsion.
